"Education to all" has become one of the priority areas for the government and accordingly it has mobilized resources and all out efforts to achieve this goal. While the government has very effectively embarked on this challenging task, a need for concerted efforts from support groups in this endeavor has always been felt. Sadhana group of Colleges (of Sanchar Health Society) established in 1999 was conceived with the sole objective of providing access to education. Started by a group of educationists with a commendable track record in the field of education, Sadhana group of colleges since inception has been instrumental in providing quality education in all colleges in its umbrella. The idea was to take education to the grass-root levels. With full fledged encouragement from the government Sadhana colleges have various colleges in the backward districts. All the colleges under Sanchar Health Society were recognized by the government and UGC. The colleges impart education in both English and Telugu media. The group of colleges provides access to education at minimal cost. Moreover the colleges have residential/hostel facilities. To instil devotion and service motive among the students the society is implementing Osmania University's National Service Scheme (NSS) programme.
For-householders, in service candidates the Sadhana Group offers UGC and HRD (Govt. of India) recognized university degree and PG courses, certificate courses and diploma levels through correspondence.
From providing access to education to enabling the students gain access to employment and self employment education, The Sadhana Colleges has always been in the forefront. The government of India and the Government of Andhra Pradesh have seriously considered the increasing unemployment and drop out problems, particularly at intermediate level and decided to find a radical solution to these acute problems. Hence the vocational education has become the need of the hour. Sadhana Group of colleges with a host of vocational training colleges is contributing significantly to open up innumerable avenues for the students who intend to take up courses in skill specific areas. The vocational courses provide scope for self employment and other employment avenues through skill oriented training. Moreover, students who have undergone vocational in our colleges have established themselves with ease. Most of our students availed the government offerings and started their own establishments. A majority of our students are today well placed with incomes ranging from Rs.l5,000 to 25,000. Apart from Hyderabad, the group is running colleges in Nalgonda and Mahaboobnagar districts.
With of "Health to all", the college has taken up numerous health-related campaign with the active participation of its students. During the campaign, focus has been prevatures rather than treatment. The students were also asked to the same.
Our team has spent long hours working to complete designs for The College’s permanent facilities. First and foremost are the educational needs of our students and faculty. We have planned our classrooms to be easily accessible and comfortable. Of course-the Laboratory will be state of the art. The laboratory will have monitors and sufficient tables to accommodate enough students at each table—a much smaller number of students per table than my days at medical school
The simulation laboratory will be state of the art in design and technology. Students will learn on standardized patients and on the latest simulators. These interactions can be visualized centrally and recorded. Students will have the opportunity to watch themselves perform examinations and learn from these experiences. We also believe this will be invaluable as a learning tool for new methodologies for practicing Students
In addition, our orientation program will include an expansive opportunity for students to get to know one another before classes begin. There will also be an orientation for parents and spouses, whose support will be so important especially in the early years.
I would be interested in other ideas, suggestions that would help to humanize the medical or computer school experience. So if you have any, let me know
